Tedrow Anglo Concertina

Tedrow ConcertinaBob Tedrow, owner of Homewood Musical in Alabama has been steadily growing his concertina-related knowledge and services and has, over the years, become an important part of the concertina community in North America. Many people know his "Turbo Stagi" (I don't think he doesn't call them that, though I think this is how many people now know them!) Italian concertina rebuilds. These are inexpensive (relative to other concertinas!) concertinas that have had some substantial modifications made to overcome many of the shortcomings of the stock Stagi concertinas. Bob is also now making his own line of handmade anglo concertinas, and from what I can tell they are very much in the vein of the Marcus, Norman, Herrington, and Morse accordion-reed concertinas. The price is also very much in line with these models, so be sure to check out Bob's new concertina if you're in the market for a sub-$2000 anglo. As always, if anyone has had a chance to try one and would like to post a comment here, please send me an e-mail: paul@concertina.net.
