Lovely stuff. I've been playing this one a lot lately, having rediscovered it in an old Blowzabella tunebook, but rather less elegantly! The cello lends it a new dimension which I love. Very classical-sounding.

Super!

I like baroque music ;)

Just goes to show that it's the arrangement and the execution, not the melodic material, that determines the style.

Cheers,

John

I should have mentioned that I, ummm, borrowed the bass line from the Blowzabella recording of this tune :-/

Just recorded this to see how the bass line works (concertina + cello):

A man of many talents! :)

Excellent as always. I suppose I'll have to go off and hunt for the abc for this one now!

I have a problem at the moment in hearing the playing - need to upgrade a media player - but I have this abc and hope it is the same tune.

Yup except the version I know has Bb for the 2nd and 3rd notes.

That is a really lovely piece. I love the range of octaves, the rhythm and how easily you play the fast runs of notes. The cello accompaniment adds a dark background to the very bright concertina.
