StephenTx Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) One of our members Johanna is selling a Lachenal and played the above tune which has caught my fancy. It seems to be on his "Dance of the Daffodils" I have searched the Internet to no avail and she learned to play it by ear (a skill I marvel at!). If anyone can head me in a direction it will be much appreciated. Thank you StephenTx Edited April 29, 2012 by StephenTx
Johanna Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Hi Stephen, Here's a quick transcription of the tune as I was playing it. Kirkpatrick's recording is a bit different (in a different key, for one, plus there are a few notes that I misremembered), so if you want his version, you can buy his tune book. fork.pdf

StephenTx Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Johanna, Thank you so much for taking the time. I will check out to see if I can locate the tune book also. Stephentx
Torres Strait Anglo Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Lovely tune, and so easy to learn (or perhaps I am improving as a player) Thanks so much Johanna. I'm unlikely to ever see or hear of the tune book referred to, (or any other tunebook for that matter) Thus postings in here are oh so very much appreciated!
