Henry Healey Oblong Anglo

Hi all,

 

I just noticed hobgoblin lists "Henry Healey Oblong Anglo" here .

For me, its button layout and key (C/F#) looks unusual.

Does anyone know this maker ? Is this English or German ??

Any input will be appreciated.

Hi!

 

I saw this instrument a few weeks ago in the London Hobgoblin shop. From memory, I think there was also a London road name on the label. I felt it was of German origin and sold on at the time through a UK distributor

There is a nearly identical instrument locally, except I was sure it was called a Henry Harley rather than Healey. There are references to them on C.net, search under Henry Harley. The local one is slow and quiet, but also very sonorous, a lot of fun to play.
